Joomla logoJoomla tutorial: How To Remove An Article In Joomla

To remove an article in your Joomla website:

To remove an article in your Joomla website, simply go to the Joomla! administration back-end and then go to the "Article Manager". Select the article that you want to delete by ticking the box to the left of the article, and move it to the trash by clicking on the "Trash" icon.

To completely remove an article in your Joomla website:

To completely remove an article open the Article Trash in the Content menu (the menu that runs across the top of your browser window) and select the articles you want to delete. After deleting an article, it is no longer available or retrievable. It is not possible to undo this operation.

If you do not wish to permanently remove articles, yet you do not want them published anymore, you should archive them instead of deleting them. You can read more about archiving within Joomla in our article "Joomla: What Is The Difference Between Archiving & Trashing an Article?"
