How To Make Your Own Mini-Ads Widget / Module for WordPress (and any other website) Using OIO Publisher Plugin

If you'd seen and admired those "Mini-Ads" modules (such as the one displayed on this website - see our website footer area)  and you were wondering how to make them for your own website, then here's a simple and fast tutorial, complete with step-by-step instructions and screenshots.

Note: Mini-Ads are a great way to add some advertising to your website without it taking up too much space or annoying your visitors with too many banners / adverts, and because they only require a very small amount of space they are usually much more profitable for the webmaster. The fact you can fit many mini-ads on them means you can also charge far less, and so you are also much more likely to sell more ad spaces than with larger, more expensive banner sizes. Another benefit is that most websites will have a favicon or small button / icon that they can use for their mini-ads - so they don't need to hire a graphic designer or banner designer to create them, and so if clients are interested in advertising on your site then they are usually able to purchase an inexpensive little mini-ads spot on your website right away......

Step One:  Create a New Ad Zone in OIO Publisher.

See my screenshots below for my guidelines on the server / OIO plugin configuration for the mini-ads zone  - Note: You may need to adjust my settings slightly in order to suit your own needs / your particular template theme.

Step Three:  Save Your New Mini-Ads & Settings.

Step Four:  Create A New Widget / Module in your WordPress Website.

(to do this just add a new "text" widget to the module position where you want it to be placed, and add the OIO Javascript code for your new mini-ads zone to the new text widget - the code you need to insert is already provided for you by OIO Publisher, and is available to you anytime you need to use it - just log into your OIO server (or visit the plugin's settings on your WordPress site, if you are not using the "Standalone" server installation method for OIO Publisher). Within the settings for the OIO zones are also all the code snippets for each zone you have created. Copy the JAVASCRIPT code snippet, and then simply paste it into the new text widget that you just added to your site & then press "Save"....

Step Five:  Create Another New Widget / Module in your WordPress Website.

Same as before, only this time add some different code to create a link to allow people to purchase a mini-ad spot. You'll need to add something like I have created for ours (see screenshot below). Once you have added your own "Put Your Own Mini-Ad Here"  code snippet, (customized to point to your own OIO Mini-Ads purchase link), simply press "Save"....
